Opened in the last month, Verbeek Glass Studio is a new working and teaching kiln glass studio run by local glass artist Layne Verbeek.

Located in Leslieville, the studio is a kiln-based glass studio versus a glass blowing or lamp (torch) working studio.

Here, a wide range of glass can be made using the kilns and other equipment in either fusing, kiln forming or plaster/silica casting methods.

The studio offers a wide range of fun classes for all ages, 5+! No experience necessary!

Its services include:

  1. A wide range of fused and kiln formed glass workshops for adults

  2. Classes for kids starting from age 5

  3. Open Studio memberships for those wanting to continue making glass at their own pace

  4. Bullseye glass art and supplies

  5. A gallery space that features works by local artists in clay, photography and painting as well as glass sculptures by Layne Verbeek

Glass is an amazing material and people are continually surprised how good their first work comes out. As there are many methods for cutting and working with glass, its safe for all ages, Previous glass working or experience in art is not needed.

Our classes of up to 10 participants are also great for "Girls'" or "Friends' Nights Out", family events, couples' date nights.

The studio is open Monday-Friday 11-6 and Saturday 11-6. Many evenings and Sundays when classes are scheduled.
