At this workshop you will make a 9.5" disc of multi-coloured transparent glass. Once fired, we will install it in our custom, Ontario-made, 36" garden stakes. (Made by an artisan in SW Ontario these stakes are powder coated with clear paint and will last many years outside.)

This 3-hour session also teaches you the basic properties of glass and how to control glass volume in your design. You will also learn how to use 4 essential hand tools used by all glass fusers. 

You will: 

• Learn the key properties of glass and how glass melts and flows during fusing 

• Cut and shape glass to build your design 

• Consider "highlight glass" such as frit or studio stringer to add an extra pop to your design 

Your finished garden art will be ready about 1 week after the class.
