Glass has many unique properties and this class will introduce you to using glass powder to add colour in a thick mass of glass. We will also discuss how glass melts and how you might harness these properties in casting your sculpture. 

Session 2 will show you how to use beginner cold working techniques (grinding glass) to clean, shape and surface finish your piece. 

This 2-evening workshop teaches you how to: 

• Weigh and cut glass to build your design 

• Set up a mold for kiln casting 

• Grind, polish and finish your cast sculpture 

Your finished sculpture will be ready at the end of the second class.
